The clubs/bars inside the casinos are nice. There used to be a couple of free standing bars/clubs but washed away with Hurricane Katrina. It is an easy walk across the street to the Beau with a Waffle house around the corner for late night snacks (after leaving the clubs). We have not stayed since the Hurricane, but heard that the entire first floor is newly decorated and designed. Decent rooms with a breakfast in the mornings. My husband and I are from the area and when we travel home, we stay at the Best Western Oak Manor, right across the street from the Beau Rivage.
